Richard Seymour is sticking with the Oakland Raiders.
Seymour, the defensive tackle whose contract expired at the end of the 2010 season, has agreed to a new contract with the Raiders, according to multiple reports.
The terms of the new contract are not yet known. Jim Trotter of SI.com reports that itís a two-year deal with $22.5 million in guarantees and the potential to make $30 million. But Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that itís a four-year deal.
Seymour has said he expects to remain in Oakland and this deal appears to fulfill that expectation. It also means the Raiders wonít need to use the franchise tag to hold onto Seymour. Oakland may now use the franchise tag on tight end Zach Miller.
The Raiders acquired Seymour in a trade with the Patriots before the 2009 season. New England reaceived Oaklandís first-round pick (No. 17 overall) in this yearís NFL draft.
Great, now that he has all that money maybe he will get lazy ala fat Albert.
