The Broncos have played several holiday games in Detroit, this was the first time in 1974. Otis Armstrong ran for nearly 600 yards in his last 4 games of the season to win the rushing title. Broncos win the Thanksgiving tilt 31-27. This game was also the last ever game in Tiger Stadium for the Lions, who moved to the Silverdome the next season.
