A lot of people take FAR first. I didn't, but a lot of people do this strategy.
As for learning tools, Becker is pricey but I used it and I passed all the parts. I've been a CPA since November.
If you do take Becker, let me give you some tips:
1) Don't buy the notecards, I found them useless
2) Only buy the in-class sessions if you have trouble motivating yourself. What they do is just play the DVD (that you already have a copy of) and answer a few questions. Kind of stupid. However, I did buy it, and for me I enjoyed the structure of having set class times and being on a schedule for studying. But not everybody needs that, and it's a waste of money if you don't.
If you don't mind me asking, what's the bonus? I'm just curious as to other firms' policies. If you want, PM me.
