Obama has the keys. He should be doing all he can to repair these scenarios. Instead, he's chasing the evil DADT and making phantom changes to healthcare.
America spoke in the last elections. They told the Rs that they f'd up. They also voted in the Ds with the understanding that things were to change and get fixed and, as you've admitted, it's mostly been promises and more of the same. You're so defensive of your party that rather than face the issue that Obama might've been the wrong guy at the wrong time, you're focused on Bush and still insist on every discussion involving him. Move on.
As for the article, I was very disappointed in the concept when Paul started backtracking on himself. Change is what modern politics needs and noone can ever go beyond just promising it. The propaganda here in Kentucky is downright horrible yet, in the end, it's all still about playing politics and getting the votes. I pass a billboard on I-65 every day that just says "Take back government, vote out the liberals". It only gets worse from there. The ignorant ones voting for Paul on one-liners are just as ignorant as those who voted for Obama so they could finally see a black president.
