Lions acquire '08 first round pick Lawrence Jackson from Seahawks

Pete Carroll has showed once again that he won't show any favoritism to his former USC players.
The Seahawks traded 2008 first-round pick Lawrence Jackson to the Lions on Wednesday, according to John Boyle of the Everett Herald. The Seahawks will receive an undisclosed 2011 draft pick in the deal, which comes one day after Seattle officially acquired another first-round disappointment Kentwan Balmer from the 49ers.
Carroll quickly dumped his former player LenDale White after acquiring him, and it's a bad sign for Jackson's future that his former coach didn't want him at a thin position in Seattle.
Jackson wasn't a natural fit in Carroll's defense; he was going to be used as a hybrid outside linebacker/defensive end. Jackson was knocked coming out of the draft as someone that had inconsistent effort, and he hasn't beaten that wrap with only seven sacks in two seasons.
