Time to revive this thread. Bell's is half and half to me. Their IPA's Two Hearted and especially Hopslam are World Class beers IMO. However, a lot of their stuff is dead average like their pale ale and Amber offerings.
A great brewery in Indiana is Three Floyds' out of Munster near Chicago. They are an exceptional brewery with all above average beers IMO. Their staples are Alpha King (American Pale ale), GumballHead (American Wheat), Robert the Bruce (Scottish Ale), and Dreadnaught (Their Signature IPA). They offer some outstanding limited offerings like Dark Lord (Russian Imperial Stout), Behemoth (Barleywine), and Drunk Monk (Hefeweizen). I have not had an average beer from this brewery.
