If only that were true. This is nothing new, though, just cyclical political backlash that has 1) marketed itself well and 2) been aided by a 24/7 news cycle/established Fox News promotion that didn't exist in '93 when a very similar "revolution" happened.
Once the elections roll around they'll almost all be voting for a Republican who has a very similar platform to every other Republican of the last decade. Which makes sense, because really what specific issue is the Tea Party fighting for? Obama bad, taxes bad? That was already the Republican line before the Tea stuff started.
And even if some of the Tea Partiers do
feel upset with the Republicans, I have a hard time seeing very many going 3rd party when it will obviously only aid Obama's reelection chances. More than anything they are an anti-Obama/democrat/liberal group, and I would be surprised if they chose in large numbers to hurt the GOP, handing the Dems an easy election.
