He did play both teams, and I don't know think he would be petty enough to take away a national title (which would help the conference image, no less) for no reason. Remember GT was actually undefeated (1 tie), while CU had a loss, a tie, and the 5th down. I think CU certainly deserved a share of the title for winning the Orange Bowl, but its a stretch to say they were clearly more deserving than GT.
Anyway, I do think CU is, on the whole, our biggest rival in the North, and will probably grow in stature over the years as memories of the Big 8 fade. Hopefully both teams can improve and make it a nationally known rivalry. I have a lot of respect for most the CU fans on this board, so I do wish a lot of the stupidity in terms of stereotyping each side could die down from some of the more ignorant fans I hear about.
Granted, NU fans (the older ones especially) do have something of an annoying "holier than thou" streak, and CU fans (the drunk younger ones) did confirm every suspicion NU had of them by trashing their own field in 2005. But what's a little hatred amongst friends. November 28th. I hope to be there this year.

I appreciate what you say and think you have class. Thanks for the reply and may the better team win. You are yet another fan of Nebraska that makes it impossible for me to ever "Hate" your team.
