Now the BCS shows it's true cracks this year. I have been a mild supporter in the past. After seeing what has gone down this year I am not sure I like the system after all. USC the obvious #1 team in the nation right now will miss out on the opportunity to win the national title. Instead Oklahoma who didn't even win their divison will go to face LSU. It will be interesting to see if the BCS system can make any changes before they resign the contracts with the bowls.
not exactly. although i hate the BCS as well especially after the Nebraska fiasco 2 years ago the BCS did do its job this year. even though USC was voted by the coaches and fan polls to be #1 the BCS took the schedules of the top 3 teams and broke it down according to strength and the teams the top 3 lost too. the only way to get out of this is too have every conference hold a championship game. the ACC will have one next year but the rest of conferences need to do the same in order for the system to work properly. also, teams that continully schedule soft opponents need to schedule harder ones. teams like K-state and BYU will never get a championship birth scheduleing soft teams. the only other option is too have a playoff between the top teams.
