Ok duvie you got injured and delayed you a** kicking by parker so we will have to re shedule for jan 20th (see ya then!)
Defenseman Duvie Westcott declared himself ready to play after practice yesterday.
"I'm ready when they're ready," Westcott said of the coaching staff. "I don't consider the last two hits I took to be concussions. It's been a little bit overblown."
Westcott, who said he has had four to six career concussions, is valuable to the Blue Jackets because of his skill and his right-hand shot. In his 11 games, the Blue Jackets' power play is 11 of 51 (21.6 percent). In the 17 games he has missed, it's 11 of 90 (12.2).
If Westcott doesn't return tonight, Hitchcock said he could return Monday against the Anaheim Ducks.
He's not worried about Westcott's next jarring hit.
"I don't look at it like that," Hitchcock said. "If he's cleared to play, he's cleared to play. It means he's OK."
