With the added postseason revenue, I see no reason why they can't keep the team together. They have plenty of trade options with the Triple-A prospects knocking on the door and even some of the guys in the lower minors. Chris Nelson and Hector Gomez are two of the best shortstop prospects in baseball, but what's the point of holding onto them when their value is high right now?
They should follow the Tigers' lead (who traded for Renteria today) and take an aggressive approach towards next year.
