I agree. When he "lowered" himself to reform the band in the video in 2004, I was really hoping he'd stick with it for awhile. Volume 4
and the live Afterlife
were the most solid and rocking things he came out with in years. Too bad he sneers at rock these days and goes for the more sophistcated genres of music instead. IMHO, it's a story as sad and as wasteful as Jonathan Richman's post Modern Lovers career.
