Shero declines Ducks offer
According to an source, the Anaheim Ducks have expressed an interest in Penguins forward Eric Christensen and have made a offer for the talented forward. The Ducks are believed to have offered defenseman D Maxim Kondratiev for Christensen. The offer was declined.
There is also strong speculation the Chicago Blackhawks have inquired about Jarko Ruutu but I've been told Shero is reluctant to trade anyone from his roster this early in the season.

Stars pursuing Forsberg: The Stars have joined the list of teams in pursuit of free agent C Peter Forsberg, sending GM Doug Armstrong and club official Brett Hull to Sweden to try to woo him, according to the Denver Post. "Just like many teams in the league, we believe Peter Forsberg is a great player," Armstrong told The Dallas Morning News. "We were there. He was there. So we dropped in."
Drury demoted to Third line?
As The New York Rangers continue to find their way in this new season, coach Tom Renney is moving around his lines to find a spark. The bigger change involved moving star center Chris Drury to the team's third line with wingers Petr Prucha and Ryan Callahan during a team practice on Monday. Scott Gomez moved back to the top line with Jaromir Jagr, and rookie Brandon Dubinsky centered Martin Straka and Brendan Shanahan on the second line.
