Do you look "Muggable", and what is "getting close to being mugged"? I'm not trying to put you down, just trying to get some details/ info.
I'd rather go to one of the islands, but I don't feel like dealing with the passport renewal right now. So my options are U.S. and U.S Territories.
Guam may be another option. The place has some beautiful water, but the flight is brutal!
Mexico doesn't appeal to me. Maybe because I already live in Mexico/North AKA Denver. If I get my passport renewed, I may do Costa Rica or the Dominican Rep, but I'm not pumping my $$$ into mexico!
