Jones played in the NBA All-Star Game on four occasions, twice as a member of the Denver Nuggets (1977 and 1978) and twice as a member of the Sixers (1981 and 1982). Jones, who was a first round draft choice (15th overall) of the Houston Rockets in the 1974 NBA Draft, began his professional career as a member of the ABA's Denver Nuggets.
