Default 2007 Fantasy Football Player Profile-Javon Walker

WR Javon Walker, Denver Broncos

2006 Stats: 69 receptions, 1084 receiving yards, 8 TDs
Projected 2007 Stats: 85 receptions, 1344 receiving yards, 12 TDs
Projected Fantasy Round: 3rd Round
Wide Receivers to be Picked ahead of Javon Walker: Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, etc.

Fantasy Outlook:

Why should you draft Javon Walker: Javon Walker only played in one game in 2005, but three out of the last four seasons, Walker has played in all 16 games. Over that span, Walker has racked up 203 receptions, 3209 receiving yards, and 29 touchdowns. Now with Jay Cutler having some experience under his belt, and an off-season of taking the bulk of the snaps, the duo of Cutler to Walker should be extremely lethal in 2007.

Why you may want to stay away from drafting Javon Walker: There is always that fear that Walker could hurt his knee again. Therefore, Walker could be viewed as somewhat of a fantasy risk. Last season, Walker had five games where he was limited to three receptions or less, and he was held scoreless in ten games.

Bottom Line: Walker figures to have a solid season in 2007 as Cutler continues to mature as an NFL signal caller. Walker should be viewed as a No.1 Receiver in fantasy, and he would be a steal if you could land him in the fourth round or beyond.
