Wow, I wouldn't even begin to try and answer that. I can't even name a personal favorite because there are just too many options. I guess, from a historical perspective, Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters would have to receive strong consideration.
For myself, I love bottleneck guitar and the looser and wilder it is, the more I'm interested in it. That's why albums like Hound Dog Taylor's get a lot of spins around my house....that stuff is barely under control. I also love live shows that are like that...BB King's Live at the Regal, Cook County and Blues Is King are all examples of that as well.
