I've seen the first two episodes, and it looks like a show that's got legs - Episode 2 just ended with a bang. I recommend that all HBO people pick it up now while it's still new ... it might be around for alotta years. I always regretted not watching Deadwood from the start. I tried to pick it up later, but I think dramas are much tougher to start watching later in the series than comedies.

Ed O'Neil and Luke Perry are both pretty good, as are Bruce Greenwood and Rebecca DeMornay. The guy who plays Butchie Yost is an excellent actor too ... and there are a couple pro surfers who have parts.

I'm drawing a blank ... what's the name of DeMornay's real life dad? That crazy, toupeed, right-wing TV talk show nutjob from Orange County?
