The Isles have made some boneheaded moves (
many boneheaded moves), but trading Spezza & Chara for that mope and then handing him a contract worth nearly $90 million is at the very top of that list.
Now they've got $2.2 million in dead money for the next eight years to remind them of him. Funny thing, by the time they get out from under that dead money, Rick Dipietro will still have six years left on his contract.
