Not just a reckless driving charge, I'd contest every
traffic charge that comes your way, even if you're blatently at fault...hey, it's your insurance rate that hangs in the balance. I know they're illegal in VA as well, but screw that crap and get a radar detector....be discreet when using it there in the People's Republic of VA though (ie. don't hang the thing from your visor) or they'll be on you in a heartbeat. Be cool about it.

Sure it was written in 1990, but much of it's info is still valid...case in point, I got the book in '93 and I've successfully avoided/talked my way out of every pullover since....picking it up used for a buck something could help in preventing future situations like this...what do you have to lose?
