Guess that is what has me a bit frustrated Kaylore. Those that have been with the Broncs for longer than the Super Bowl winning years can remember when a season like this was not that unusual. I remember when Joe Collier's 3-4 defense was the reason we were finally competetive. Offense in the NFL is down across the boards this year. Some will say "but look at San Diego, blah blah blah" but they haven't played anyone but the Ravens who beat them. Just wish the sarcastic haters would STFU and enjoy 4-1 for a change, but in this age of instant gratification/& I want it now!!!! that is unlikely. Wonder what these folks are going to do when faced with a decade long challenge to resolve, oh never mind....we're fixing to answer that aren't we....
I think it's because we got so close, seemed so good and then melted so quickly. It was like a tease, and we're still getting over it. The other "problem" is that our defense is playing at a level that's unheard of and many of us feel that rare, once in a lifetime squad is being wasted and are frustrated to have to watch it. I think if we sucked people wouldn't be as nervous and frantic.
I'd be curious to see what would happen if the team went 4-12 one year. Hopefully I won't ever satisfy that curiosity.
