At our peak we only lost three games in a five year span, including three undefeated seasons. I can only think of one program (SC) right now that looks capable of replicating that type of success. It's hardly a knock on Nebraska to say we won't be reaching those heights again. I'd love to hear why you think we "will be a good team" when you've been ranting about how much our coach and AD suck.
As for why we fired our 9-3 coach (who Callahan haters just
love but for some reason couldn't land a bigger gig than Ohio afterward) it might have something to do with the fact that all three losses (the only decent opponents all that year) were by 17+, including a 38-9 embaressment at home to KSU.
