I disagree. My hopes and optimism have nothing to do with religion, whatsoever. The fact that there are literally millions of human beings who not only survive, but thrive, without a belief in any religion proves that it is not "essential". My "energies" don't need a god to "focus" and life...well, it makes a hell of alot more "sense" without the religious claptrap. Other than that, I guess we would be in agreement...
