The teams that have had success are those that could stretch the defense and throw the ball way downfield. Samardzija of Notre Dame really torched us last year. Smash mouth football will never get it done against Pete Carroll's defenses. The linebackers are probably the most talented and deepest in the country. Nebraska has a very good pass rush. But there is also a matchup problem there. USC has 2 O-linemen probably in the top 5 in the country. Ryan Kalil is the best center in college football, has been starting since freshman year. And Sam Baker is arguably the best Tackle in the country. It will take a hell of a game from the Cornhuskers and an off week for the Trojans if the Huskers expect to win. Not to mention, the Colisseum is a tough place to play.

With the talent and depth of our running back corps, I have little doubt we can run right at USC, if for no other reason that we can keep them fresh while wearing down the USC defense. Our passing game is nothing to sneeze at either. Our TE was averaging over 20 yards per catch before his injury and Nunn and Hardy are better than advertised.
Hopefully Nebraska steps up and takes this win.
