d3dx9_25.dll was not found, what i'm going to do?

Hello everyone,

I got Battlefield 2, installed it, and I can't get it to work. There is an error that appears after the Battlefield 2 logo flashes on the screen. The error says:
"The appalication failed to start because d3dx9_25.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this."
Of course I reinstalled it but it didn't fix it. I've heard it was a Direct X 9.0c and I needed to reinstall it. I tried that but it didn't work. There is a DX installer file on the BF2 disc. I tried to use that but an error appears just before the loading bar starts, it says: "A cabinet file neccessary for installation cannot be trusted." Then the installation fails. Noone seems to know how to fix this crap. Anyone have a clue?

Sounds like that file is corrupted.that file should be included on the game disc as part of directx9.if you can find it try copying into the game installation folder.

Hey james,

Since many players are facing the problem of "d3dx9_25.dll Not Found" after logging into XMO. Here are one of the solution i found on other website may help you.

because C:\Windows\System32 doesnt have the "d3dx9_25.dll"
so you may browse to this webpage- http://dllcentral.com/d3dx9_25.dll/9...0000/download/ ,
then "Click here to go to the download of d3dx9_25.dll" to download it.
it will automatically direct to download page, and click "Download d3dx9_25.dll", it will download the "d3dx9_25.zip" ,unzip it and paste into C:\Windows\System32
you're done!
