Orton just jogged to midfield, talked to Josh McDaniels and the head trainer, demonstrated planting his left foot, then headed inside.

Orton just worked out on the field in front of McD and Greek...made a few throws, trotted around for 10 minutes and back inside.

Whoever thought somebody would saying that four months ago?

At around 11 a.m. Sunday, Broncos’ starting quarterback Kyle Orton walked onto Invesco Field at Mile High in shorts and a shirt and threw some passes. Orton wasn’t hobbling and he seemed to be throwing well, although he did appear to be moving gingerly.

He finished at 11:07 with this result: Chris Simms will be the Broncos’ starting quarterback. Simms was told Saturday he very likely would be the starting quarterback.

Rookie Tom Brandstater and Orton will both be in uniform today, although it’s not yet known if one will receive the No. 3 quarterback designation.

No snaps this week, and not figured into the coaches gameplan....might be a mistake

I guarantee you if he starts he has been part of the gameplan for a while. He might not be totally in sync with the offense from not practicing though. [iverson]but we're talking about practice, man [/iverson]
