I am also a Yankees fan since I live right outside NYC. I was actually in NYC the day the news broke that he was going to the Yankees. I was extremely happy about it. I would have preferred a short term deal with Manny since I believe his bat is the most dangerous in all of baseball and we would provide the best protection for A-Rod. But I am still happy with Teixiera because he is an all around player. Hopefully he does good things for New York.
