When it all comes down to it, who cares where a thread is moved. It's only a message board. A political thread will get plenty of responses in the WRP. There are some people who live in that forum almost EXCLUSIVELY.

Old Dude 06-12-2007 12:30 PM

I have no idea what you are talking about because I've been hanging out on the vampire wannabee site all morning.

For what it's worth, a lot of your threads are moved to the "Community" forum so that they're easier to find and follow because they often include adorable pics of your kids or interesting and amusing anecdotes.... moving them isn't at all intended as a demeaning thing; it's quite the contrary (and oftentimes, the move to the subforum follows a "sticky" at the top of the main page... ;)).

Slug you should start a message board. Then you'd realize what it's like to have people whine at you all the time.

Well if you have less than 100 or so members I'd say sure but once you get a few hundred people or more there are always slugs out there. I suppose it depends on your demographics and type of board also.

It's easy enough to avoid problems, have members and MODS observe the rules. Moving that thread off the main forum purely because it had political undertones was uncalled for (especially since Taco said any topic was welcome in the offseason). Of course, having a someone moderate who might have a personal bias doesn't work very well either.

Well with the growth of message boards come more challenges. Personally I think off season mode is a victim of the growth. With this board looking more and more like the playground that Broncomania use to my personal two cents is to have the general forum left for Broncos discussion. By that I mean Broncos discussion not Hixon has a big dick threads.

Well you just can't please all the people all the time that is the bottom line. I suspect someone will start a Broncos board dedicated to the hardcore Broncos fan in due time which some people will gravitate to from the Broncos board, here, freaks etc. For now this is the best one going until option D becomes available. It's internet message board natural selection that plays itself over and over. I've seen the same thing happen over and over again with other team boards that simply get over run. I don't blame the mods it's a thankless job trying to handle hundreds of random people across the net.
Moderation on this board is a joke to say the least at times. I was just banned for that thread I posted and for pointing out main board offseason rules to the mod who refused to identify himself but wishing death on people on this board using every obscenity in the book during the process is acceptable (not a bannable offense).

I am getting tired of this **** Beerslug...I don't touch your crap. So quit implying that I do. I have no problem letting other mods moderate your crap, when they feel it's proper to do so. If you would follow the rules you wouldn't have all these issues.

I didn't say you did. It was SoCal probably or someone else. But just for the record what rule didn't I follow?

I'm saying the mod that moved that thread and renamed it "keep your political posts off the main forum" didn't follow the "rules", you disagree?

If Taco doesn't want certain threads on the main forum he should say so but I remember him saying (like the header states) ALL topics welcome.

It's understood that even though it's off-season mode, political threads really do belong in the WRP forum. The reason being is: they can get heated, and bring a level of aggressiveness that doesn't need to be in the general forum. Even still...like pass interference...it's a judgement call.
