Phillip K Dick: FBI Snitch
Philip K. Dick, the late science fiction author, had quite an imagination. And we're not talking about his novels, one of which became the film "Blade Runner," starring Harrison Ford. Seems that the addled Dick believed that some "covert organization" with neo-Nazi connections was trying to force him to place "coded information" into his books. In these letters to the FBI and the Marin County Sheriff, Dick reveals that he was contacted by one Solarcon-6 (that's a code name, folks), and that the man sought to create mass hysteria by planting information about an incurable strain of syphillis. Seems plausible to us. (3 pages)
Some Re-Discovered, and Amazing, Philip K. Dick
Ok, for those who don’t know, Phillip K Dick (PKD) was an underground pulp-sci-fi writer and gnostic mystic who died in the 1980s. His amazingly surreal novels were often about regular people dealing with strange situations & implications of time travel, artificial intelligence and shifting views of fragmented realities - they were adapted into the following movies: A Scanner Darkly, Minority Report, Total Recall, Paycheck,Blade Runner, Impostor & Screamers.
Tonight I was reading a very long PDF of PKD’s legendary 8000 page journal of his mystical experiences and theories about reality. This was a particularly lucid and very emphatic section i wanted to share, in which he describes some very deeply abstracted theories about the core of existence and the observers relationship within it. His descriptions of a universal ‘organizational hyperstructure’ are somewhat like what was later called fractal self-organizing structures and emergent chaotic systems.
