Oh hell no......its a Dodge and the exhaust smells like ****

I've had so many car problems in my life, I could probably give you an idea, plus one of my good friends is the best mechanic in oklahoma (not kidding)

Sounds like the computer (it's newer right?) if so i would go get it scanned (then go from there)

It seems to be running great but the exhaust smells like burnt ass or something just as foul. The silly local folks cant get me in for more then a week :nono:

Anyway it smells like rotten eggs or burnt hair. I dont mean just a little oder here I mean when I drive her a few miles and get out it will make your eyes tear up.

what you get for getting a disel.

Its a gas engine....I'm wondering if I got bad gas ???

doubtful, if you got bad gas, it would be running like #$#, more so than smelling bad

your cadillitic (can't spell it) converter going out?

The first couple of days it was blowing excess exhaust kind of like a disel but thats stopped just the fowel odor now.

I guess I'll just drive it as little as possible until I can get it hooked up to the computer.

The guy at the shop said he would not worry to much unless the "check engine" light comes on. I think thats easy to say when its not your truck.

Maybe I have a mouse stuck in the exhaust pipe Ha!

is your truck have a carboratuer or is it electronic?

hmmm oddly I dont understand the question. I would have to say carberator since it has an air intake no???

since your truck was blowing out excessive smoke, that appears to be something with the fuel mix if you ask me.....but again, I'm not a mechanic LOL

if your check engine light was on, I'd say you were in trouble with that problem, but it doesn't seem like that

go to autozone and by some fuel system cleaner until you can get to the shop

Thats not a bad idea sure could not hurt.

Just a wild hair but i have seen alternators go past normal out put and make the battery smell like rotten eggs (just a thought)

his battery light would probably be on

There is no doubt that its the exhaust.

yes, it is definitely that.......it is something to do with your fuel system

Maybe the cabin air is venting out the exaust pipe?

rotten egg smell could simply be from the type of fuel you're buying... supposedly some gasoline brands have an organic sulfur compound in them that causes that smell, or so I've been told.

I call them idiot lights.

See Im starting to highly suspect gas for 2 reasons.

1. The truck is actually running as good as ever
2. The wife gased up last at a place here in town I've never gone to.

Just another reason why she should stop driving my truck ;D Hell her truck is nicer then mine.
