Favorite Plummer Moments
 

This is the end. It was a wild ride, but it's finally come to a stop. What was your favorite Plummer moment?

And don't say "When Cutler was drafted", or, "The day Cutler was announced the starter". It is a great moment, but it's a Cutler moment, not a Plummer moment. ;)

Anway, my favorite was his infamous Left-Handed Pass. It turned out to be a horrible decision, but it made me realize just what we were REALLY getting into with Jake Plummer as our QB. Anyone with the balls to throw a pass with their opposite hand in an NFL game is going to be fun to watch. And he was. My second favorite play is tough, and i can't really decide, so i guess i will just pick every single time he rolled out to his left and threw a perfect pass accross his body. I think he was actually more accurate to his left than to his right, or even with his feet planted.

Jake's first home game vs the Raiders in 2003 was a great Broncos moment. Jake was hardly great in the game but after two road wins, it was good to see Denver whip Oakland's ass in front of a National audience. I guess he did have a GREAT first quarter that night.

Jake was awful in his first game that featured the Jon Kitna flop pass to Ian Gold. And in game 2 in San Diego, you could tell Mike Shanahan was forcing some TD passes for Jake to improve his TD INT ratio and his confidence.

It was only the second time 'post merger' that we started 2-0 with two road wins, and with the defending AFC Champs coming to town, I was curious to see how Jake would handle everything.

Jake showed great flashes that night and scored on a great bootleg as we dominated the first quarter. He also hit a few deep passes that had me excited.

One thing I will miss and is my favorite thing about the guys is how he dances around when he's about to get sacked and he usually gets away. That is always fun to watch.

That's one thing that i do hope Jay learns from Jake is "the dance", with the bonus add-on of tucking the freaking ball!! Can't tell you how many times i've yelled at the tv while he flailed it about so carelessly... good times

Before being the RCA Dome Playoff b****es, Jake impressed the hell out of me in the key regular season game there in 2003.

Gary Brackett had a PICK 6 early and most of us probably thought we were meat that night.

But Jake and Q played great. I think Jake only missed 3 or 5 passes all night. He was 16 for 19 or something like that and we won 31-17.

I remember thinking great things about Jake that night.

Every time i go to the gym i remember that Jay Cutler put up 225 Lbs. 22 straight times on the bench. I'm thinking he probably has a pretty mean stiff arm.

It was 4th down and my fiance, now wife, was trying to get me to leave the game. I told her to wait and then Plummer passed to Lelei for the 1st down and eventual game winning FG. That was amazing. I still love his devotion to his friend Pat Tillman and the number issue, I will never forget that.

The game against the Eagles, last year. I thought Jake had one of the better first halves of games he's ever played, and it was fantastic. I thought the game atainst the Pats last year (the first one) had several great moments, including long passes to Smith and Lelie.

One cannot say that Jake is not entertaining. He had many great moments. Problem is, most people only remember th e tough moments. Too bad.

The philly game last year was my favorite defensive game ever

Yeah I remember that game. It was the first time we wore the blue pants. Lelie scored on a underthrown pass from Plummer and he did the Mile High Salute. But for Plummer in that game, I remember him scoring on a naked bootleg to the left and as he was about to spike the ball, it slipped out his hands so he tried to kick it on it's way down Ha! Anyway, I thought it was hillarious. Also, he ran the longest run by a QB in Broncos history in that game. Man, that game was sweet. I'm gonna miss him. Oh well, I wish him luck as a Texan next year.

He had 3 TD's when Marty forced us to wear white at home in 2003, after we "lost" our road Blues when we played them in week 2, in San Diego. Weren't all three to Shannon Sharpe?? We whipped Flutie that day.

In 2004, Jake had his only 4 TD game vs. Houston in a pretty non desrcipt game, other than a Kyle Johnson Horse Gallop TD celebration.

Christmas Night in 2004 as well...........

He/We diced up the Titans in their place on Christmas Day. That's a good memory. I escaped the In Laws after dinner, and was able to get home in time to watch Denver crush Tennessee.

Jake played great that night, and Billy Volek was held down, while in the middle of a pretty sick FF run with Drew Bennett.

Jake does a lot of dumb things, but there is one thing that he did as good as John Elway. I know I know, its sacrilege to compare anyone to the Duke, but Jake did it as well as Elway ever did.

Jake had the uncanny ability to get out of a surefire sack. SOmetimes, my jaw was just left hanging at the sheer will the guy showed to elude the sack. Didnt always happen, same with Elway, but man when he did it, it was incredible more often than not.

Not sure why everyone here bashes him so much. We all knew the guy when he got here, we all knew his penchant for doing Taco John things. But good God, he was thousands of times funner to watch than Griese. Im gonna miss the guy. You can bash away, flame away, at this point, I dont care. The last three years have been fun for me, even when we havent played our best. Better than the three years prior to Jake's arrival by a country mile.

Thats the game Portis got hurt for like 4 games. I remember being in the chatroom screaming that Jake would bring us back. I just had that feeling. Ugly game, but man we came through in the clutch.

Pick one of the multitude of home games vrs KC, where all game long, play after play, Jake fakes the hand off, bootlegs out and destroy's KC. They knew it was coming, but still never left contain. Tards.

Jake vrs New England this year. Wasnt the best game he ever played, but threw two absolutely perfect passes to Javon that he was able to make aplay on and iced the game for us.

I was really pissed off that game because Portis didn't get hurt until late and despite entering field goal range they kept running it and running it. Finally Portis got hurt and then we decided to kick the field goal.

Whatever. The Chiefs will be forever known as the team that ended Jake's career as a Bronco. It's sweet.
