Okay I picked third in a 12 team league and Priest dropped to me so I picked him. My question is when should I draft Larry Johnson? From some ADP's I've seen him go typically in the 7th but that is also the average and I need to make sure I get him. Is it a reach to pick him in the 5th or should I wait till the 6th rounds?

5th round is way too high I believe. I would probly wait until the seventh round. It is a tough situation given that the Priest gets hurt so much.

I'd say, to be safe, you have to select him in the 5th.

Sure, he may hang around until the 6th or 7th, but to be safe I take him in the 5th. A savvy owner would see that you've got Priest and Priest is injury-prone so they may draft him before you if you wait too late; it would be a win/win for them...should Priest go down they've got a quality RB in Johnson or someone they could use as trade bait.

I've got to go in the 5th...taking a backup early is the downfall of drafting players that require a "handcuff."
