Week 5: Washington @ DENVER - Sunday Oct 9, 2:15pm MDT

Who's coming? :D

CBF1 04-13-2005 08:23 PM

Count in Broncgal and myself for this one as well.... Looks like another week in Dever so we can catch the following weeks game vs the defending Sb champs.

Yeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaa Are you ready for some football?

GSRelyea 04-14-2005 07:16 AM

I guess this is going to be my road game for the year. My buddy is die hard skins fan so he wants to go. If anybody has tickets to this one please pm me, not sure how many I need but I know it will be atleast 4. What a great schedule this year 2 NY games plus a trip to Denver perfect.

Denverfan4life 04-14-2005 04:23 PM

this is the game I'm most looking forward to this year. A friend of mine likes the Redskins and he kept bragging about Portis going to Washington and Bailey is past his prime since he's with Denver now. I really hope that the broncos can win this game so I can shove it in his face.

Can anybody give me a couple of hotels that are close to the stadium?

BlueDamsel 04-18-2005 10:49 AM

1) Doubletree downtown – They offer a Broncos weekend package. They have all the details on the DenverBroncos.com website

2) Red Lion – Might be a bit pricey though because it’s RIGHT by invesco (just to the North of the stadium).

3) The Warwick downtown is where some of the others have stayed...

4) Denver.com has a few links to special deals around the city.

Basically if you look into anything downtown, you're within lightrail/bus/walking distance/shuttle service distance from the stadium...

I'll put together a more complete list in a bit...But those were just a few off the top of the head...

I guess it always depends on how much you are wanting to spend on a room each night...

Sassy 04-18-2005 10:57 AM

The Warwick is great because it's within walking distance of downtown...but it's a bit pricey...on the flip side you don't have to pay for a cab and Duffy's (Irish Pub) is close, inexpensive and great for breakfast, lunch or dinner...we hung there a bit...It was 119 for Sat. 119 for Sun. 165 for MONDAY (Go figure...it's KC on MNF that we're going to...) Ha! It's worth it.

GSRelyea.......If you are a cheap bastard :) and need a place to crash for the weekend you could stay at my home office/Bus house across the street from my house.. Just an option. Pezman and some others used it last season. Infact No1Broncosfan is using it now til we find him the right place and get him under :contract: for his new pad. He'll be gone by week 5 or I'll have to put him to work on da bus. :yep: ;D

Or any of the options Damsel suggested are good choices.

GSRelyea 04-18-2005 12:41 PM

A cheap bastard?? Wow thanks Meck. I think I will book the Warwick, but I appreciate the offer. First trip out to Denver, really looking forward to it.

Of course I do...and I got a room at the Hilton in San Diego/Mission Valley for $109! Not bad...the prices in San DIego were crazy...or they were already booked!

Plus, the Warwick, if I recall right has a shuttle that runs every 10 minutes or so and will pickup at the airport and return ya to where you came from ;D

Here's there website...for the Washington dates it says $165 a night...but Expedia booked it for 119 for Sat and Sun...then 165 for Monday for us for Sept. 24-26.

Myself and my 3 of my buddies just finalized our trip to Denver for the weekend of the Skins game. We're arriving from Delaware on Friday morning and leaving on Monday. It's the first trip to Denver for all of us, so any help with ideas as far as places to check out or area info would be greatly appreciated. Three of us are Broncos diehards while the 4th is a Foreskins fan, so drinks will be on him Sunday night. Thanks again for any help you can offer and I hope to hang out with some of you guys there.

TO ALL OMERS ATTENDING THE REDSKINS GAME. A SPECIAL SURPRISE IS IN ROUTE FOR THE TAILGATE. ONLY DISCO AND I KNOW ABOUT IT.THIS SURPRISE WAS CREATED BY TWO FANS WHO WOULD CHEER FOR AL-QUIDA IF THEY WERE PLAYING THE REDSKINS. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS. WE HATE THE REDSKINS MORE THAN THE RAIDERS OR CHIFS. BEAT THEIR ASS AND MAKE OUR DAY !!!
