Worst Car...EVER...
Everyone has owned a hated car. Selling cars, the motto went, "There's an ass for every saddle", but I've had pretty good luck and some bad luck.
Of course I have owned a couple dozen cars, and never really blamed an inanimate object. I have always bought Toyotas except for an infatuation with 5.0 mustangs. My albatross is the Banana Boat. I put 3 thousand into that boat in two miserable years. First, an idiot friend didn't pull the drain plug, and parked it in front of the house, nose down. It rained 5 inches, the biggest rainstorm in 10 years. Water seeped into the motor, and it totally cooked the motor. So I trade the 305 block in for a 350...then they tell me I can't exchange motors...so I didn't even get 500 back for the block. (A 350 is worth a ton more than a 305) Then next year, I wanted to take it to the Marina to have it checked, but no! Friend talks me into taking it out... and evidently, gear oil had leaked out of the lower unit. Poof! There goes the next summer as another 1k is spent replacing the lower unit. Now the flooring is rotten because it soaked up water. It's sitting in a shed out in mudville and I can't stand to even look at it. Brand New Motor in it and I doubt I can get more than 1500 for the thing, the damn trailer is worth that...It was a huge open bow thing, YELLOW. In fact, all my mechanical troubles have come with the color yellow or red. It was a yellow boat. My 72 Celica was yellow. My 76 Cutlass 4Dr with three on the tree was yellow. (Possibly the ugliest car of all time). I bought that one for 600 bucks off Burt's W/S lot. It had to be the only 3 on the tree 4 door in existence. It was the butt ugliest car of all time. I had a nice 81 Cutlass parked at the Golf Course when that mean ass hailstorm came thru Denver. It literally broke every window in the damn car. That car was baby blue like Mello. What was your worst car? http://ia.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/60/77/80m.jpg http://images.google.com/images?q=tb...teeletsml2.JPG |

1969 Mustang. Cheap plastic gas filler line - Push the pump nozzle in too hard and you fill the trunck with gas.
1972 Ford LTD Went through four auto transmissions in 30K miles. |
I had a car one time - ford LTD, the smaller 80's version - broke down on me in the middle of a traffic jam. I got out, took a screwdriver, pulled the plates and walked away.

My worst car ever! Beautiful car - always in the shop.

1985 Bronco II......or anything Ford.
|
1963 Ford Fairlane convertible. Of course it might have been the worst since it was my first and I didn't know that when the oil light came on it wasn't like when the fuel tank said "almost empty". My best was a 72 Volkswagen, went through the snow great and rarely broke down.

Had nothing but good luck with Fords , Mainly the pick ups ....

I inherited a 1976 Toyota Corolla hatchback when I was 16 years old. That's not the actual car, mine was an ugly burgundy color.
http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...orolla.500.jpg Everything about this car screamed cheap. Everything in the interior was made of plastic. You could unlock the doors with a dime. The maximum speed of this vehicle was 60 mph on a good day. I was sure I was going to get shot on the freeway driving into Hollywood for work each day. |
I owned a 1989 Hyundai...enough said.

My first car was purchased when I lived in Japan. It was a Nissan March "Turbo"... how they ever summoned up the balls to call that little 4 cylinder a "Turbo" I have no idea. Half the time I owned it, it didn't run. Let me tell you, you don't feel good when you spend money on a car and end up with a 4 wheeled closet...

I have never owned a Import ....... mainly Ford , Dodge , Chevy ...... My First was a Pick up 1958 Chevy Apachie Pick up ..... 3 in the tree ;D
then a 65 Ford Galaxy 500 ..... I liked that car ......but went back to Pick ups , Had a 67 Ford F250 camper Special ..... |
1978 Ford Mustang II.
That, my friends, was the ultimate piece of garbage.....4 cyl, no power and constant repair bills. I'll never, ever, own another Ford anything for as long as I live. |
Dodge Omni. Maybe a '78, as if any year of that rolling turd was any better or worse than any other year.

If you've owned an "American Made" car or truck (especially a Chrysler product) made since about 1980, you've owned an import. It's a sad state of affairs that Honda, Nissan and Toyota employ more American workers than Ford, Chevy and Chrysler. Of course the Chryslers arent even American now that Daimler owns them Ben |

About a month later that cheap electric cooling fan malfunctioned and the thing overheated without the idiot-light going on, and the head cracked. Shockingly, I got $300 for it cracked head and all. |
Never owned one but this has to be the worst car ever manufactured...

I've always had good luck with my vehicles...well when I wasn't doing the repair work myself anyway (not because the car was bad but because I drove it as hard as I could and I liked to see how much air I can get). After trying to repair one of the leaf springs myself and then having the thing bust and subsequently go through the floor board and missing my family jewels by about 3 inches I decided to drive more calmly and let the professionals repair my vehicle.
