The fight is on ............
http://www.casperstartribune.net/art...630021ea15.txt
The people of Casper are starting to see what Wall Mart does to a community ........ We have 1 Already , 49 thousand People in this town ( 66 thousand in the county and another 7 thousand in Douglas ) alot of people I know will be hurt by a second Wall Mart ........... |
Time to save Main Street America .............
I wouldnt Begrudge 1 Wal Mart , Wal Mart has the right to do business here , but taking Billions of Tax Dollars from the Goverment to run a stake through the heart of the Small guy , time to put a stop to it ............... |
Were going thru that right here in my town. We have 1 small wallyworld and they want to take it out and build a Super wallyworld. I say they take their plans and shove them up their collective arse's.

2 more meetings , I think it will turn into 6 more ........... we lost a fight about putting a Mini Mart out past 15 th street ...... that was out in the middle of nowhere , now it is a cluster **** ....... we had a 750 Housing Projects crammed down our throat on the eastside of Casper alone , several hundred spread out through casper alone another 1,000 + in bar Nunn ....... 2 nd street extension is just about filled up . car lots out there and a bunch of office buildings .......... if the second wal Mart passes , then all is lost , as for our small town heritage ,According to an article on Bizjournals.com, the online edition of American Cities Business Journals, Casper ranked eighth out of 226 U.S. labor markets for its 3.5 percent annual rate of job creation. Casper tied with Sheboygan, Wis., in percentage growth terms. Las Vegas, Nev., topped the rankings at 5.1 percent. me and the wife have talked about selling everything we own and going to Riverton or Gilllette ......... |

I hate going to Walmart. Rude employees, can't get through the ailses. Smell like stale grease.

I maybe the single worst handyman in the world. If you remember the wife has us painting the new house :saywhat: . So I go down to my local hardware store and ask the college idiot for 5 gallons of navajo white satin paint. He tears the top off the 5 gallon bucket so now he cant use the shacker machine. So he proceeds to mix up the paint mixture with a drill and some kind of attachment. I go home that saturday and begin painting right away. Finish the living room and watch football on Sunday. The next Saturday I open up my 5 gallons of paint and mix the crap out of it. Start painting the kitchen well as I come around to the livingroom wall I notice the color does not match :cuss: . Take the 5 gallons back with a sample of the original color and the college idiot says no prob I can color match that and give you 4 one gallon cans of the first color. Great so I go home and repaint the kitchen with my new color matched paint. Then watch football on Sunday. The next saturday I open up my second can of "color matched" paint and find I now have my 3rd color :gripe: . I take the remaining paint down to my friend the college idiot and tell him to shove them up his arse and give me my $ back :cuss: . Now Im heading for sherman williams. |
maybe i'm ignorant, more then likely, but how is walmart forcing manufacturing jobs to go overseas?

heres this, i knew a guy that worked at wal mart, and he said theyre the most cutthroat corporation in America, they want to put everyone out of business and thats it. Look at Kmart. Theyve been in the **** house for years now since walmart. With that being said, i like walmart, theyve got some good products and at a good price. some. some of their **** is tailored to the trailer park residents and thats fine. everyones been there.
hey, its the American way and anyone that says they wouldnt do it the same way is a damn liar. like it or hate it, its not going anywhere. btw, dont get me wrong, im all about the mom and pop places still, but most of the time, im all about the "money in my pocket" thing |

Right now we have a choice , I would like to keep it that way ........ Wal Mart . Kmart , Target , Sears , J.C. Pennys , right on down to our local Mom and Pop stores ........ Compitition is good for America and our economy , flat cutting throat and hostile take over isnt ........... |
agreed. now that ive matured SOME, and make enough money to actually get decent stuff, i find that Wal Marts **** usually really sucks. I go there for the basic stuff, rubbermaid, school supplies, socks, etc. Its funny how you grow up isnt it? I grew up in DAV and Goodwill clothes and furniture, Wal mart was great in my early 20s, now its crap. how far ive come...

All I can say is thank god for wal mart.
one stop shopping extravaganza for people who hate to shop. does it hurt mom and pop? probably, but then mom and pop were charging out the ass for cigarettes and soda so screw them, besides mom and pop have turned into Muhammad and Habib so who gives a ****. |
The corporate powers that be (powers for which the current administration is merely a proxy) are moving toward one goal: an America where there is only one store, one cable news channel, one political party, etc., etc.
Makes you wonder whether Robb and the Bible thumpers are right. |
