Peterson Jury Deadlocked?

http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/11/08/pe....ap/index.html

I have to admit I haven't followed this case, and know almost nothing about it.

But isn't it a little unusual for a judge to lecture a jury about changing their minds to avoid a deadlock just 90 minutes into deliberations?

I haven't followed the trial, either. It appears there is some doubt present. I think the judge probably crossed a line telling the jury not to be deadlocked. If there is enough there to be a hung jury, then that's the way the justice system will play itself out.

The problem here is anytime you get a group of 12 or more people togather your bound to end up with atleast 1 or 2 bobsyouruncle types. rofl

After a 6 mo trial, he had every right to tell the jury to STFU and go back to deliberating after they'd complained after only 2+ days of deliberations.

I agree they should put more effort into it. Sure they have given up 6 months of their lives on this but now is not the time to just give up/blow off their responsibilty. On the other hand when is long enough if a couple of them are set against the others ???

They are trying to convict and a dimwit is trying to throw the trial. Lets rock the boat, blah blah blah.

This jury is hung. 9-2.

Doesn't matter, if this creep broke ranks, Garagos can call for a mistrial. He's going to get off like OJ.

On the day of the murder, Peterson had some blood on his nuckle. He said "That is what men do?

This such an obvious murder It's not even funny. He is a smart bastard, but that wouldn't keep me from pulling the trigger. Now he is going to get off.

It's like O.J. looking for the killer. He told his girlfriend that he would get rid of her, then bought a boat and dumped her, and her child, then continued to have internet, phone affair with his slut.

What am I missing here.

They waste time with some dimwit blonde as well. The Kobe Bryant case has gone down to the fact the wants her breasts enlarged and a nose job. Kobe has turned into the a-hole he really is, on a losing team. It's pretty funny. Kobe is a prick and it's showing.

I think that if the jury does hang, they can just take him back to trial. I don't think it's the same as an acquittal.

Expensive, though.

she was a cheap piece of ass and saw her routine. She was screwing the BellBoy.

It's so damn incredible. She goes into court like a whore.

A little fired up are you mock? If Peterson gets off he better sell the rights to his book, make tons of money and fast. Just so he can get out of dodge, people here in Modesto want to a pull a Mussolini on his arse. I had a feeling he would get off but everytime I tell my wife that she wants to hit me. maybe I'm wrong but the prosecution would only retry the murder if they find new evidence, if not this is going to get real expensive for the taxpayers.

oops, wrong thread. I was talking about Kobe's lay. My Bad.

Professional jurors. Until we have them, we will continue to have farces like this played out in the courtrooms and tabloids.
