The Incredibles - 5 Stars
 

I took my wife to this flick last night... I'm here to tell you that movies like The Incredibles are why you go to movies in the first place. It was an all-around great show. Don't let the animation scare you away. The Incredibles is a great show with something for everyone.

I don't want to ruin the suprise and delight of the film, but I promise you that you won't be doing yourself wrong by catching this one on the big screen. It's a hell of a spectacle, with great action, a great story, excellent voice acting, and chock full of personality.

I give it 5 stars for the whole package.

Yeah, i heard it was one of the better pixar films, I love all of pixars films, they're brillant.

They actually have a new Film coming out Nov. 2005 called Cars. This looks pretty cool, It's kinda like the theme from Jay Jay The Jet Plane, But instead it's talking cars.
Ithought The Incredibles was the last film with disney. i thought wrong. hopefully even without disney pixar creates great films.

I think they contractually had one or two more projects with Disney after the Incredibles. Cars is either the last movie or next-to-last movie that they do with Disney.

As far as the review...the Star Wars teaser trailer was INCREDIBLE-the movie was not. I was fairly entertained, but I could have easily waited for DVD. The fact that the whole family had unique superpowers was kind of cool, but it grew a little tiresome as the movie went on. If you have kids, they will probably enjoy it more. I was surrounded by a bunch of rugrats that laughed constantly. Granted, I'm not giving the movie a BAD review. All I'm saying is it's a movie in which you would want to spend matinee money if you choose to see this on the big screen. Out of a 5 star system, I would give it 3 stars.

The whole "theater experience" is not really my favorite anymore. I'd much rather sit at home with the home theater system pumping away. Best seat in the house, the snacks are cheaper, the seats are comfier, the floor is less sticky, and the screaming kids are non-existant. I forced myself to go see Team America because I just couldn't wait to see it on video, but I probably go less than 3 times a year. The only exception is here in Centralia, a bar has set up a theater next door and the seats are all old easy chairs and love seats, they serve real food and a full bar menu and that's a really good time. They show movies there that have just left the mainstream theaters and charge a whopping 3 bucks. I probably go there at least once a month, and usually I could care less about what's showing, it's just something kind of different to do.

The movie does look pretty funny, but I'll probably catch this one as a rental. As a side note, ABC showed Monsters, Inc. in HD last week and it was absolutely mindblowing. The PQ was nothing short of perfection.

All i know is.. you have to go in the movies with an open mind or its going to be a crappy movie.

Animations and cartoons don't do much for me anymore so I'll miss this one.
I do enjoy the theater experience if it's a good movie but not very many of them coming out these days.

I loved the movie. Very fun. The animation is great (as usual) and the story is very well written and funny. Animated as whole have sucked recently, with the huge exception of Pixar. They have yet to make a bad movie.

I'd have to agree with TJ and the 5 star rating....Pixar does it again.

I have to agree. It is a good movie; however, it was alittle too long by 10 - 15 minutes. Otherwise, I enjoyed it and it was very amusing.

I love Pixar movies! I am so glad that they are breaking away from Disney. That has to be the worst move for Disney in a long line of bad moves in the past 20 years...

I would have to agree with not missing out on the big screen experience because of the rugrats... the wifey and I went to see Shrek 2 and Nemo in theaters and in both theaters, the rugrats were infesting them even at the 10 pm shows!

Worse yet, in Nemo, some kid seriously needed a cork up his ass to stop the flow of methane from choking us all... Good god my nosehair still curls from thinking about that awful smell...

Hey there Militia... long time bro!
We went on a Tuesday night show but it was during the holidays last year. Seriously, I think a kids body functions cease to exist on a normal level after 8 pm... I will never forget the lady next to the kid choking from the nastiness. The horror.... the horror....

I love animation and I love superheros, so you knew I was going to see this one. I enjoyed it, but I think at just over two hours long it probably dragged for some people. Most animated features check in at around 90-100 minutes. Personally, I'm glad they didn't chop it because I liked the character development and thought it provided a nice balance to the extremely impressive action sequences.

I work in video games, so I can really appreciate the kind of work it takes to get a full CG movie out the door. The attention to detail in the movie is amazing. I mean, think about it. Millions of triangles are conveying emotion. That's just cool. Not to mention all the tricks they pull out to make each scene look 'correct' to our eyes. (Correct meaning blurry everywhere but the focus, FOV concerns, etc...)

It helps that the movie is awesome too. Great writing, great concept, brilliant voice acting. The opening monologues are histarical, and as soon as Samuel S. Jackson's character hit the screen I started laughing my ass off. The father is voiced by Coach, Craig T. Nelson. He was awesome.

By far the best computer animated movie ever, and on par with the great animated classics of all time. Highly recommend it, (and recommend it while high) especially for families with children. I'm 26, and me and all my friends loved it. Not just a kids movie...
