Comcast HDTV
Anyone out there have HDTV from Comcast? If so how is it? Do they supply the box and for how much?
|
Hey Rigs. You have to set up an appointment for a tech to come by. they take your old box and set up the HDTV box. The fee is an additional 5-10$ a month, I can't remember exactly.
|
do the boxes have S video on them yet? Or are they still using componant hookups?

Are you sure? It might be that your TV is upconverting the signal a la line doubling.

i could be -
but that still doesn't change the fact Svid is still digital |
It's $5 per month to rent the STB
It hooks up with component cables. It is all digital. You will only receive the signal that is broadcast by each station (ABC is 720p for example) Your TV will convert the signal. There is very little difference between 720p and 1080i anyway. |
Component is better than S-Video. The best you can get with s-video is 480i. DVI or HDMI is still the best.
