The Ultimate Grocery List!

I just got paid and need to go pick up some groceries. I am really not good at cooking so I felt that a 100 set of eyes would be better than just mine alone. If you guys could help me out with some of the food I should get but have forgotten please let me know. FYI- If you say things that are not food they don't go on the list. Toilet Paper and Cleaning supplies have their own list. That also includes beer. Beer has its own list. So far I have the following.

Milk
eggs
white bread
wheat Bread
digiorno pizza
dog food
cadbury cream eggs (on Sale)
Nerds jelly beans-(greatest thing ever)
salmon
turkey burger
bacon
lunchmeat
whip cream
frozen strawberries
apples
oranges
lettuce
yogurt

What else do I need?

Jack links makes a teriyaki sausage now. You should probably get that, if you want the ultimate list to reach it's full potential.

Peter Gabriel did Shock the Monkey to synth pop perfection.

Potatoes? Why frozen strawberries? I mean it's nice to have some on hand for a variety of things, I like to heat up frozen raspberries and strawberries to put on waffles. But real strawberries are very nice right now, to make shakes or banana splits. Oh yeah, ice cream? Bananas? Tomatoes? Cheese? Damn I'm getting hungry.

Lose the bread, the sugar, and any other carbs: load up on healthy fats and protein: any nuts, almond butter, olives all work: stay away from anything processed, lots of veggies, easy on the fruit (lots of sugar, and sugar is the ultimate enemy). Beer: only local brewers, stay away from any mass produced stuff, way too many chemicals added. Lose the bread, the sugar and the carbs: remember, sugar is to be avoided, period.

I had an ex put those on once. They taste kind of funky.

Prosciutto.

It's like really good bacon.

1 hard bound 1st edition of "Failure is not an Option"
Handfuls of Goofballs, enough to last every 4 hours until you go shopping again.

Get some dressing for your salad. No one wants to eat a plain salad.
Screw the white bread unless your making a Honkey type baloney, tomato, and mayo samitch. Get some of this Turano Panini Italian bread or Rye instead
http://www.turano.com/uploads/fresh/...sliced-jpg.jpg
You can make killer toasted samitch's at home and it holds up if you pack a lunch and tastes better and is better for you than honkey style white bread.
I love to toast it and make a killer tuna salad the key is lots of fresh ground pepper out of your own pepper mill, they even sell salt and pepper in small mills now!

Add real pepper and either a mill (if you don't have one) or just buy the above mentioned pepper in it's own mill.

Are you a commie? No Popcorn?

Do you have a thing against Corn and other vegetables in general? Some fresh asparagus? Steam pouchs of green beans? Canned corn? You can make one can and keep it to use in salads or dinners through the week then mix the leftovers together at the end of the week for variety.

Check out the stew meat. Sometimes it is fat and sucks but sometimes you can get some cheap quality meat you can cut up and put in a crock pot with potatoes and carrots for a quick roast type meal or stews. Some times I have been able to make some steak tournedos or sliders (roast the meat then toast some of that great bread you bough above and then put it on top) from a great package of stew meat. Depends on what the butcher happens to cut and worth a look every time you go.

Fill yourself up with Fiber, your stomach won't grumble, your bowls will love you. The older you get the more you need. Supplement with fiber pills, don't bother with the fiber drinks they are nasty. Have a salad at lunch time and throw in some precooked chicken if you need to. If you are real lazy get some Tyson chicken nuggets and cook some of them and chop them into your salad.

Get Chili fixings as well as Italian sauce fixings and cook up big batches of both over weekends for quick meals that you can heat quickly or add noodles to.

Potatoes rock, get some big baking types and add some breakfast sausage to for a quick meal, loaded potatoes rock.

Get a couple bags of different shredded cheeses and some resturant style nacho chips. heat up the cheeze on the chips in the microwave for a few seconds, then add some of the stewed meat you made above and get some salasa or Quack and instant Steak Nachos!

Take your leftovers and shove them into a taco shell or burito thingy.

If that fails, hope your mom lets you move back into the basement.

Best of luck to you.

I prefer an eight ball and a couple 40s prior to shopping

Then its on...maybe pass out in the produce section, lettuce makes a good pillow
