Lot of speculation Denver will open with Seattle.

A Super Bowl rematch in Week 1 when the game wasn't competitive is the heighth of stupidity.

its not the height of stupidity, i sincerely doubt the same result will occur.

Id rather it not happen though as a Broncos fan.

Dumb. Shouldn't be a week 1 game

ludo21 04-22-2014 03:28 PM

I would welcome that game on a Thursday to open the season. We would need the extra few days as it will be a physical game.

bpc 04-22-2014 03:30 PM

I doubt Seattle/Denver meet week 1. I could see the NFL capitalizing on Seattle/SF early though.

I do see Denver/Seattle playing early in the season, probably week 1-4. Odds are these are the two favorites in the AFC/NFC, they will want to space out the potential rematch.

Jens1893 04-22-2014 03:30 PM

We play there in preseason, they´re not gonna make this the season opener.

Now that CBS has lost the US Open rights it´d be kinda cool to have a home opener in Week 1 in the regular Sunday time slot.

The week 1 preseason game vs the Seahawks is here. Given that the Broncos play their last preseason game on the road in Dallas, it's unlikely the Broncos play on the road, especially against Seattle, to open the regular season.

Unless I missed something in the last 24 hours, the speculation I read is that the Broncos won't be opening at Seattle. We'll find out for sure tomorrow night.

Arkie 04-22-2014 03:46 PM

Broncos have had home games to open the last three seasons. We're due for a road opener this year.

HILife 04-22-2014 03:53 PM

Highly doubt Denver plays the thursday night game against Seattle. One, Broncos had the opening game last year. Two, they got worked by Seattle.

Drunken.Broncoholic2 04-22-2014 04:23 PM

I want that game. Most of the team will be healthy and not on IR yet.

Mile High Salute 04-22-2014 05:02 PM

Pretty sure it'll be Seahawks-Niners. I'll be shocked by any other outcome.

RhymesayersDU 04-22-2014 05:16 PM

Schefter confirming Broncos/Seahawks to open season.

NFLBRONCO 04-22-2014 05:25 PM

Kind of suprised that Nfl would want this opener after Den SB showing. Happy with road opener though.

I doubt that. SF has a brand new stadium and will get a primetime home game week 1

Good. It'll get that game out of the way.

agreed. there was something nice about opening vs. Balt last year to get the taste out of the mouf

Sly_Eli 04-22-2014 06:39 PM

I was hoping the first game would be @Seattle. Good Stuff. Chance for a little bit of redemption hopefully. Worst case scenario, you get the most difficult game of the season out of the way early.

No he hasn't, unless he's confirmed it and it's not on ESPN, his Twitter feed, IAOFM, or the Post.

Yeah, because if they get their asses kicked again, it would do so much for the team's psyche going forward.

"What if"? You're even conceding it's a long shot.

You really expect them to go in there Week 1 and win? The odds are not in their favor, and there's a hell of a lot more harm than good that could happen if they played there in Week 1.

I'm conceding nothing, guy. The question was a rebut to your hypothetical. And of course I expect them to go in there and win.

if they lose the season is not ovah.
