guys you would trade up for.

I am not a proponent of trading up. The draft is such a crap shoot that you need as many bites of the apple as you can get. But if I was going to trade up I would try and get mike Evans. He is going to be great.

crush17 03-31-2014 08:27 AM

Can we trade up for Luke Kuechly?

oh...

Kaylore 03-31-2014 08:36 AM

No one. There isn't anyone I want to trade up for. It's like once you trade up for someone, the football gods doom him.

Br0nc0Buster 03-31-2014 08:40 AM

This draft is supposed to be very deep with talent

I wouldn't trade up for anyone

Maybe if Khalil Mack falls to the twenties, which isn't going to happen, I would entertain the idea

boppool 03-31-2014 08:44 AM

Only if C.J. Mosely falls to late 20's. I think he would address our biggest need and I wouldn't mind giving up a low rounder to get him.

BowlenBall 03-31-2014 08:44 AM

THIS is what happens when you trade up:

wow just thinking about that 2009 draft

We used THREE first round picks that year and the only player left from that draft is David freaking Crutone

just awful

lmfao way to bring back the David Barting reference

Kaylore 03-31-2014 09:12 AM

In the spirit of the OP, I'll play along.

Jadeveon Clowney. Denver is in "win now" mode, and while the Jags are looking for a QB, they are in a weird spot. So Denver packages a bunch of high picks to take the draft pick they believe will have the most immediate impact on their team. The Jaguars, a team that needs help everywhere and is content to go BPA, allows the trade and uses the bevy of picks to infuse their young team with more talent.

If no one says cj mosley y'all are full of **** with all that best LB since Patrick Willis bull **** in the other thread.

But McDaniels was a genius draft guru!

oubronco 03-31-2014 09:26 AM

I Hate McDaniels

While that was a not so great draft he clearly made up for it in the next draft and I believe he only had a few months to prepare for it.

Doesn't excuse giving up the 1st for Alphonso though.

HILife 03-31-2014 09:31 AM

no one. This is a deep draft. Trade back.

Lets agree to change McDaniels name to "He who shall not be named" I get nauseous every time I hear it.

Agreed. The problem is that everyone's trying to trade back this year.

Awful indeed. I can't believe some Broncos fans still try to defend that guy.

The Alphonso Smith saga was one of the worst. Trading up for a guy that you basically cut the next year- how is that even defendable????

zowie!

crush17 03-31-2014 10:03 AM

Also Richard ****ing Quinn

Carmelo15 03-31-2014 10:08 AM

Khalil Mack. His versatility to play inside and outside. He adds to our pass rush. He is the one guy I would be willing to trade up for into the top 10. Trevathan-Mack-Von would be scary. Fills a great need and then some. I realize this is pretty unrealistic.
Haha Clinton Dix if he falls into the 20's. I like Pryor as well but Haha is more of the center fielder we need at FS. Rahim Moore is coming off an injury with really no precedent so there is no telling how he will return. I could see Pryor in that range but not Haha. If they felt Pryor would be a good fit at FS I would be perfectly fine with him too.
C.J. Mosley if he falls past #25. He fills probably our biggest need at MLB. He is not special like a Patrick Willis or Luke Kuechly. But he is solid and would like a small jump to ensure he lands with us rather than NE. This is the most likely scenario to me.

Lestat 03-31-2014 10:14 AM

Anthony Barr,CJ Mosley,Mike Evans,Justin Gilbert & if we are intent on moving Franklin to OG, Jake Matthews or Taylor Lewan

Those guys are around #6-18 so there is potential to do it.
Clowney who I would love would take getting to #1 or #2. Had we not signed Ward I would say Ha-Ha.

Requiem 03-31-2014 10:15 AM

Mack, Mosley, Gilbert, Clinton-Dix, Fuller.
