MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry concluded the “What’s So Funny About 2013?” segment of her Sunday show with a chorus of laughter at the black grandson pictured in former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s family Christmas photo. The chuckles were directed at baby Kieran – who was adopted by Romney’s son Ben and his wife Andelynne in September.

“One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same,” panelist Pia Glenn offered as a caption for the photo, which the Romneys tweeted on Christmas Eve. (Lyrics of the original Sesame Street song are, “One of these things just doesn’t belong.”)

“And that little baby, front and center, would be the one,” Glenn said.

Comedian Dean Obeidallah joked that the baby is a token.

“It really sums up the diversity of the Republican party and the RNC, where they have the whole convention and they find the one black person

MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Good morning. I'm Melissa Harris-Perry. We have a lot of news and politics to discuss this morning. Before we get to that, I'm going to start with an apology.
Last Sunday, we invited a panel of comedians for a year in review program. It's what we call our look back in laughter. But in one of the segments, we looked at a number of photos that caught our attention over the course of the year. In that segment, I asked my guests to provide kind of off the cuff ideas for captions of the photos that we were seeing. Among the images we aired was one of the Romney family that showed Governor Mitt Romney's grandchildren, including his adopted grandson, who's African-American.

MSNBC continues to show what a joke they are. We know how they, like their other fellow liberal clan members in the media, respond to any hint of racial comments made by nondemocrats and nondemocrat media sources. A few tears is enough of an apology for liberals, while they demand firings for others. They think they are cute, but in reality, doing us all a favor by reminding us just how narrow-minded they are.

She squirts some tears for national TV .........Hilarious!

Barrybot and Puny Boy, still have yet to weigh in on what they think should have been done.

Either say she's welcome to say whatever she wants because of Freedom of Speech, or say that she should be fired. But at least nut up and go on record. And be consistent. :)

Let the free market work it out, for the lulz. Because in the end, an uppity race baiter who makes fun of the abortion-dodging brown baby and then cries like a biatch will remain infinitely more marketable than a housedad who couldn't hack it at Best Buy and/or the movie concession stand.

I never said fire her, she can say what she wants. Let the network make that decision. She would have never cried on TV had she not been called on the carpet by her superiors and bombarded with hate mail from the public.

Alec Baldwin Mocks Melissa Harris-Perry Apology: ‘If I Cry, Will I Be Forgiven?’

Referencing his own firing over a pattern of homophobic comments, Baldwin tweeted, on Saturday, “If I cry, will I be forgiven all of my transgressions?”

And if the network decided to fire her, you would be okay with that. Correct?

Absolutely, she has the right to say what she wants and so does Phil Robertson and Alec Baldwin but the network also has the right to fire her ass. Her choice was to cry and beg for forgiveness and Phil Robertson’s choice was to not apologize for what he said. Different strokes for different folks but I prefer not to see the insincere tears.
