Ebt wishes and medicaid dreams. Seasons beatings from the social safety hammock.

Dr. Broncenstein 11-29-2013 01:09 PM

Spongebob looks rightfully terrified. Hold perfectly still and pray the EBT zombies find another electronic carcass to devour.

That escalated quickly. There was a man with no sleeves, a granny on a scooter, and an annoying person with a heart condition!

Truly amazing that so many people with so few jobs have so much disposable income. Is this a great country or what?

Johnykbr 11-29-2013 07:19 PM

I went to Walmart last night for a stroller and that is the very last time I will ever go to one at this time of the year ever again. I had so many people trying to run me down with shopping carts that my ankles were bleeding.

Everything is fine! Obama's Quantitative Easing couldn't possibly have any adverse effects could it? It's not like American's have ever gotten over their head in debt before. oh wait......

The reality is there is going to be a real black friday for discounted assets.

These are the same people that will later gather outside Wal-Mart to protest and demand that the country's largest private retailer pay higher wages. It's their God given right for all citizens to own a 60" flat screen.

This is how your fellow humans behave in time of law and order, in the known presence of police and video surveillance -- fighting like hyenas over Chinese slave goods. Just imagine how they will act when the perpetual Santa Claus quits delivering every 1st and 15th of the month and the social safety hammock fails.

They'll storm the Bastille.

Look out.

alkemical 11-30-2013 07:51 PM

You can't storm the bastille with great success.

The two videos posted in this thread scare me. Big time.

The human race is doomed. People like these severly outnumber intelligent, rational human beings. We really are regressing as a species.

Actually, fewer than 1,000 pesants, most armed with muskets lacking ball and shot, took the Bastille from +/- 110 defenders.

Storm the black iron prison and see what happens.

Quote:

“While the earnings of a minority are growing exponentially, so too is the gap separating the majority from the prosperity enjoyed by those happy few. This imbalance is the result of ideologies which defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation. Consequently, they reject the right of states, charged with vigilance for the common good, to exercise any form of control.
A new tyranny is thus born, invisible and often virtual, which unilaterally and relentlessly imposes its own laws and rules. Debt and the accumulation of interest also make it difficult for countries to realize the potential of their own economies and keep citizens from enjoying their real purchasing power. To all this we can add widespread corruption and self-serving tax evasion, which have taken on worldwide dimensions. The thirst for power and possessions knows no limits. In this system, which tends to devour everything which stands in the way of increased profits, whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenseless before the interests of a deified market, which become the only rule.”
– Pope Francis.
