Von just on espn breaking news...cheated drug test (?)

...I only caught the tail-end but it said he and a urine specimen collector intentionally tried to undermind a/the test.

zomg

stagger lee 09-22-2013 07:17 AM

Yeah. Tried to corrupt the test with a diluted sample. Tester has been fired and thats why the suspension jumped to 6 games and why the NFLPA didn't try to appeal it.

The hits just keep on coming with Von. JFC

Tester was star struck with von and offered to replace his urine sample with a clean one.

****ing ****

As we've said many times before.....you're an idiot.

Cheating is doing something to give one an unfair ADVANTAGE. Explain how smoking pot gives one an advantage on the football field.

I read this in the paper the day after miller officially got 6 games.

Kaylore 09-22-2013 07:37 AM

Yeah we knew this. The drugs he was taking were recreational but banned. He tried to "cheat" the test but he wasn't using something to give himself an unfair advantage. There is difference between those things in my eyes.

Punisher 09-22-2013 07:38 AM

He should of ask me too pee for him i only have a few STD's but i don't do drugs

WolfpackGuy 09-22-2013 07:40 AM

Dumb.

Oh well, the suspension's 33% over and 50% over after tomorrow night.

Hopefully, he's learned his lesson.

Was listening to espn radio this morning and they were talking about it. They just came out with some of the details.

Tried to bribe piss tester guy #1. Piss tester guy #1 agrees to bribe. Piss tester guy #2 notices something is wrong and rats them out. They were speculating the biggest reason he got 6 games instead of 4 was the bribe. If he had just gone with the positive test he probably would have only gotten 4 games.

At this point I believe you have wanted fi cut or fire everyone in the organization by now.

TheReverend 09-22-2013 07:57 AM

I really, really hope it's just recreational drugs he was trying to cover up.

The article I read this morning mentioned nothing of a bribe and that the source was "reasonably certain no money changed hands." Just that the collector agreed to substitute a different sample for Von's voluntarily.

BobGnarly 09-22-2013 08:02 AM

I'm still wondering why the NFL is focused on Von, and not Aldon's (much more serious) troubles.

Smilin Assassin 09-22-2013 08:05 AM

So all this is just clarification on why he got the 6 games?

Ok...

3 more games and he's back on the field. He's already taken some steps to right his future (his parents living w/him won't last forever, and won't solve everything, BUT..). This shows he at least sees the issue as serious.

We already knew he's one strike away from a year's ban. These 'new developments' don't change that or enhance it in anyway. I do agree w/Rev though, in hoping it truly was recreational use. I don't want any kind of Merriman-effect on Von in the future...

randerson1184 09-22-2013 08:06 AM

Marijuana isn't a performance enhancing drug?

I'm thinking it can be if we find some way to involve melted cheese and/or melted fudge as an incentive.

Br0nc0Buster 09-22-2013 08:13 AM

oh von

hopefully this really is the wake up call for his dumbass

I guess its good he didnt get suspended the whole year, sounds like he could of

lolcopter 09-22-2013 08:29 AM

Sources said the collector worked in Miami, where Miller spends offseason time, and the collector reveled in knowing the Broncos linebacker while being, according to a source, "star struck." It led, sources said, to the collector's willingness to substitute another person's urine specimen for Miller. It might have worked, sources said, had a second collector not discovered that Miller was not in the city where his collection was supposed to have taken place.

"He's fast," one source said of Miller, "but he's not that fast."

One source was "reasonably certain" no money changed hands between Miller and the collector, but that there was concern the NFL may have a problem beyond Miller and the collector involved. The NFL and the NFLPA declined comment.

lmao.....there is going to be a **** ton of failed tests next year
