Bolden/Jammer

Apparently switched positions to see who offers the max flexibility...guessing that they are fighting for the same roster spot.

I was impressed with Jammer when they moved him to QB that last game against St. Louis he was very aggressive and you could telll he was fighting for a spot.

I have not seen Bolden do one great thing. I have seen in games he just hasn't done anything yet. Of course he is still real young so this will be a good battle.

CB, for the simple mind^5

I guess it's worth a shot! Bolden was buried behind Champ, DRC, Webster, Harris, and Carter.

broncos-rock 08-28-2013 05:22 PM

Bolden has the look of a safety.

meaning he's not athletic enough to play CB or in another way?

My god man, that avatar just kills me every time I look at it. I must know this woman. If only I could be those tight panties for a day, lol.

He doesn't seem like he has the speed. He was supposed to have 4.5 speed in college. I think he lost some of his speed from the knee injury.

Bolden has never impressed me. I listed him in the suprise cut thread before the season started.

The beard doesn't bother you?

pricejj 08-28-2013 06:10 PM

Bolden doesn't have the speed or tenacity to be an impact player at CB.

Jammer is a reliable #6CB, who the Broncos will probably need at some point this year.

Both make the squad.

SportinOne 08-28-2013 06:15 PM

If both of those scrubs make the team and we lose a guy like McCray to waivers i'm going to be pretty pissed.

Defensive Quarter Back... AKA the 7 defensive back.

The fifth is the nickle.
The sixth is the dime.
The seventh is the quarter.

Mogulseeker 08-28-2013 06:32 PM

I didnt follow the defense that closely, but I'm assuming he meant that Jammer was either playing center deep in a 3-deep quarter formation, or one of the slot corners.

Quarter D is simply seven defensive backs. Typically:

2 edge corners
2 slot corners
3 safeties.

Plus either 4 DL or 3DL and an LB.

I know this cause Madden told me so.

Gotta hand it to the front office for blowing an early fourth on a guy who likely will never do **** for us.

Ya cause that never happens.

yerner 08-28-2013 06:47 PM

I'm a little bummed Bolden hasn't taken a step forward. He was damn good in college before the injuries.

In all fairness, Bolden was 1st round talent with a huge injury risk.

When you draft a player like that, you win some, you lose some.

08-28-2013 07:19 PM

Drek should tell us what went wrong with Bolden.

broncosteven 08-28-2013 07:36 PM

Unless Bouillon is tearing it up on ST's I don't see him making the team.

He would be perfect for the practice squad.

No elite skills prior to injury and never profiled as a #1 guy. Taking a dude with a bum knee that high was a poor mistake.

I am actually used to this team performing well with mid picks.
