Well At least the Chiefs got Gunther ......

Hilarious! ......

Tombstone RJ 03-22-2004 01:40 PM

Lmao!

NaptownChief 03-22-2004 01:41 PM

We will soon see if it is enough. With the second best record in football there isn't any reason to blow things up and give it a complete face lift.

MileHighMania 03-22-2004 01:42 PM

Nap ... that was 2003.

I agree, after playing against that defense for two years I don't think you should change anything either. It works perfectly for us.

SoCalBronco 03-22-2004 01:44 PM

If Peyton Manning were a poster here Nappy, im sure he'd give you some good rep for that.

Meck77 03-22-2004 01:46 PM

Guess the Chiefs have never heard the saying.........."If you do what you've always done you get what you've always gotten".

I guess losing to the Colts didn't faze them like it did us. It's good to be a Broncos fan!!

We are changing our $hitty scheme....I think that will be plenty enough to have you guys playing for second place again.

I'm sure you thought it was great to be a Bronco fan last year when you got your boy Dalton and IHOP also. Only time will tell my friend.

SoCalBronco 03-22-2004 02:00 PM

funny, whenever the chiefs sign some supposed key free agent (ill have to go to google and look for one from last year because you havent done diddly squat so far), for some reason i never see the planet inundated with "only time will tell friends" cautious posts like your suggesting here.

Well that isnt entirely true So cal , The Chiefs did Manage to lose Tait , and they did Get Gooooooooonther rofl rofl

SoCalBronco 03-22-2004 02:06 PM

yes that is true spide. And i doubt we will forget anytime soon that Gunther is the master of turning chicken **** into chicken salad which is why he has performed so admirably as a top flight DC the last two years after his firing...err wait, no he hasnt...ok, well he has at least held down a DC job for at least one of the 32 teams....err wait, no he hasnt done that either.
No worries though, you guys resigned Woods and Burntee.
All is well in the land of Milk and Hone...err Mullets and Camaros... (and sexually abused goats).

I guess going 9-0 or whatever it was and winning the superbowl in their minds mid-season only to lose at home in the playoffs humbled them.

They didn't want to "wait and see last season". They figured they already had the SB locked up mid way. Whoops!

*reaching for my picture of me standing in front of our lombardi trophies and thinking I need to scan this pic into the mane so the Chief fans can see what the trophies look like*

And going into last year all I heard was about the greatness that was going to ensue from the Donks...Only to get blasted by the Colts a week before us and allowing us to damn near clinch the division by mid-season.

Not sure why it is "LMMFAO" funny when Chief fans are wrong about expectations but no big deal for Donks fans.

whats funny was Bronco fan wasnt at Chiefs Planet telling you how good we were ,Chef fan was here posting thread after thread about Chef greatness .... It is one thing to be a homer on your own Board , but to be a Homer on some other teams board ........

The next post you find from me posting of greatness or guaranteeing anything will be the first.

We laid an egg but it just amazes me some of you get so full of yourselves that you forget that not only did the Donks lay an egg last year but a bigger one than the Chiefs.

I think most Broncos fans felt that if the Broncos won 10 games, it'd be a successful year (questions about Plummer, the Broncos defense, etc...).

It was only after the great start that expectations rose significantly.

But, if you don't believe me, go and do some research for your own damn self.

I remember a certain fan who took my $50.00 bet that Chefs would lose to the Colts @ home. Props for paying on time and I'm sure your money was well spent on the mane but I'd say a $50.00 bet pretty much meant you were guaranteeing a victory for the Chiefs. Unless of course you didn't really believe they would win and just felt like losing the $$.

I'll give you a chance to get it back next season. I'm ready to lay money down on Broncos vs Chiefs with you. I'm the least bit impressed with the Chiefs and what they have done thus far in the off season.

If I was guaranteeing anything I would have been betting something far more significant than a fiddy spot.

As for next season, it won't matter the least about how impressed you were this offseason when Holmes is hanging 150 and 3 TD's on you guys for a W. ;D

:bs: Naptown I will be the first one to call you on that. I can't wait for that day to come :militia: Next time we'll use your 50 bucks for beer at the following tailgate! Thanks in advance.

I think that you are forgetting your team was living and dieing with special teams. Once Holmes was contained those lucky victories faded away. I can hear the roar of Mile High now......(((((DEFENSE.....DEFENSE.....DEFENSE))))

You chief fans are going to be praying.........(PUNT RETURN....PUNT RETURN)

Holmes didn't seem to get you anything last year?????? Now he's a year older.Just wondering.....do you remember the one and only time the Broncos met you in the post season?????? You had home field for all of the playoffs and we took it all away.......donkeys nightmare, I dont understand you people from MO.????

Liebs 03-22-2004 04:50 PM

if that little bug daunte wouldnt have bailed you out"last year" and stole a few wins, chefs would have been the wildcard, and broncos would have had a home game. my point is, one daunte is a little bug, and 2, no team would have come into our house and put the hurt on us like that.

war the chefs not doing **** in the playoffs
