AZ Cardinals best defender in big trouble

Darryl Washington adds to failed drug test suspension. He was booked for thumping on his old lady. He is screwed if her story is true and police believe enough to book him.

Unless there is concrete visual evidence, I'll always take the man's side in these cases.

spdirty 05-03-2013 01:17 PM

Police will book you and the DA will charge you even when no evidence exists in these domestic violence cases.

Thank God it wasn't Campbell

Not even a trained eye oogling and oggling.

When police asked Washington about his old lady's 2 black eyes, He responded... Biotch didn't listen the first two times I axed her.

Flame away

Lestat 05-03-2013 04:33 PM

this is what the cops said to him after the reported incident.

It's the dumb broads fault. I heard he asked for Turkey, not ham.

Yeah I had an experience where I was labeled and vilified until the trial when it took the jury all of 30 seconds of deliberation to figure out I'm not what the DA said I was.

Did you know a DA can charge you with that with absolutely no evidence that you did what they say you did?

That doesn't sound like a lot of fun. I do think in most cases it is better to err on the side of caution especially in cases where a woman can be dominated by a much bigger man. It is sad just how rampant domestic violence was in our past.

Hope in your case she picked up court costs.

It's over and done with...5 years ago, but it has made me sensitive to the fact that every time a man gets arrested for this that everyone wants to label him a "wife beater."

I really really hate guys that beat women and/or kids. And while there are real pieces of crap out there that need to go down for doing that, the law has gotten so screwed up that "domestic violence" can be anything from putting your spouse in the hospital to breaking a picture frame and leaving to cool off, which is what happened to a friend of mine 3 years ago. For that, he had to spend a weekend in jail and go to anger management classes for 6 months. Pretty damn ridiculous.

All I'm saying is lets not label this guy until the facts come out. He should get the benefit of the doubt until he doesn't deserve it.

"The woman told police that Washington also pushed her with two hands, causing her to fall and break her right collarbone, according to court documents.

Police later interviewed the woman and their report noted her clavicle injury along with "road-rash type of scrapes, bruising and cuts to her right arm, right hip and right leg."

Better to charge and convict the occasional innocent man in the name of safety, right?

many law enforcement departments have a policy that states somebody is going to jail if they respond to a domestic violence call..... and it is rarely the person who called the police.

One night apart is just enough time for the codependent woman to contemplate her situation and decide she's going to stay in the abusive relationship she willingly fostered. Besides, judges / lawyers / bail bondsmen / leo's have bills to pay. I'm okay with this.

When did setting your woman straight become illegal?
