Amazing Ideas for Falcons' New Stadium

I like the ocular roof that opens like a camera shutter. (.37 on the video)

I figure the idea for vibrating seats is worth a thread all by itself. Hilarious!

Damn... the Broncos won't be in for a new stadium for quite some time, so nothing like this in Denver, I'm afraid.

The Georgia Dome, Atlanta's current home was built in 1992. Then was renovated with almost .5 billion about 10 years ago.

Only 9 years older than Sports Authority.

No need for one anyways, i dont like teams building new stadiums constantly anyways. No way Atlanta needed that but if they want to splash out on a lavish home for playoff failure then off with them

spdirty 05-01-2013 05:54 PM

That's frickin weird. I wouldn't want it here. And I don't understand why they think they need a new stadium. Georgia Dome is still pretty new.

ZONA 05-01-2013 05:56 PM

Meh, not too impressed. Atlanta's stadium should not be a dome. They have great weather into Oct, Nov, Dec and Jan. What puts fans in the seats is a winning team. No "rumble seat" will ever change that.

Rumble seats are not for you, they're for women.

Rumble seats so you are in the game? Being on your feet is in the game not sitting on your ass!

wouldn't matter anyway. a Denver Broncos franchise will never have a domed stadium.

TDmvp 05-01-2013 08:39 PM

/Agrees with above poster.

And I personally do not want a dome for the Broncos , or for that matter I don't want more domed stadiums period in the Nfl.

extralife 05-01-2013 08:47 PM

domes are ****ing dumb, but I guarantee you the team will push for the next Broncos stadium to have a dome in order make serious bids to host the super bowl.

Completely agree! One step closer to this:

Bowlen originally wanted a dome stadium, but it was axed because of the higher cost and the voters wouldn't approve. Now you have what you see today.

Domes make the most sense for any city if it's going to be publicly funded. You can host super bowls, final 4's, conventions, huge concerts, etc 365 days a year.

The second stadium idea looked pretty cool.

This is the reason they will have a dome, not for football, but for basketball games. I still think the way to make more money off tickets is to build a 100K+ seating stadium and charge less for tickets. All of these extra features are getting to a point where they intrude on the product on the field and make it a less enjoyable event.

Our dive guide told me a story in the Cayman islands. He was on a night dive going down the wall and something hit him in the back hard enough to knock off his mask turn him upside down and scare the hell out of him. When he finally got his mask back on there was nothing there. He never figured out what it was.

Also the iris roof opening is bad ass.

Yeah, I'd like to see a stadium upgrade where they rip out the chairs in a section and add metal benches and the only rule is you can never yell at anyone to sit down. Old school and loud. So much more enjoyable of an experience. If you have a voice on Monday, you didn't do it right.

I agree with this. If a fan can get into a game for $20-30, they'll do it in a heartbeat. When its closer to the price he paid for his tv, not so much.

I bought every old Broncos style south stand seat backer that I could find online, at swap meets, garage sales, and ebay for years. I have like 20 of them. Many I bought for just a couple bucks!

They worked great back in the day.

El Guapo 05-02-2013 12:16 PM

I'll take two.
