My Bronco mock draft

Assuming no trades, though I'd like the Broncos to do and get another 3rd rounder or so.

1 - Tank Carradine DE Florida St. 6'4, 276 - he reportedly ran well today, which could jump him higher, but pass rushers with nice size are hard to find - if he's gone, I could see Jamar Taylor a CB from Boise St. going here, he could be a great one

2 - Laveon Bell RB Michigan St. 6'2, 230 - a big back they need who can block and catch the ball - if they go CB with top pick, then DE Lemonier could go here

3 - B.W. Webb CB William and Mary 5'10, 185 - small school CB with nice speed and return ability - thought about CB Robert Alford from SE Louisiana too

4 - Shawn Williams S Georgia 5'11, 210 - hard hitting safety who showed nice speed at combine -

5 - Nick Kasa TE Colorado 6'6, 270 - nice target with decent speed

7 - Josh Kline OG/C Kent St. 6'3, 310 - had nice combine and getting more attention, was seen as UDFA before

Stick to something else besides mock drafts. Poor value in my opinion

Nah, not really. Every player is projected to go about those rounds and spots I predicted. Besides, it isn't like I think this is what the Broncos should do, it's what I think they will do.

I really don't know who the Broncos have targeted for the 1st, if anyone. However, if it is Tank, I would be ok with it because I trust Fox/JDR on defensive picks.

Love Kasa in the 5th, but that would mean they lost faith in Julius Thomas. I also have the Broncos taking Bell in the late 2nd, so surely that means they wont. :~ohyah!:

I don't know much of your other picks, but you do fill needs, which is good, although I think they take an OT, not a guard/center, IMO.

Nice work! The mock drafts have been few and far between this year! It's not easy to do one and face the criticism.

I like some of the picks, and others not so much, but it's all about preference!

If the Broncos go with true value, I think they would go with Jamar Taylor, the CB from Boise St. since I think he is a future Pro Bowl type. Especially if it's true Carradine really ran in the 4.9 and not 4.7 yesterday. And either take a Lemonier, or a Washington, or even Bass, all DE prospects later in the 2-5 round range.

I think Julius Thomas's future with the team is in doubt regardless if they draft a TE or not. I am hoping the Broncos find a way to get better interior depth so the present interior OL backups are replaced.

In what round? I like Taylor too, but I think he may be a 2nd round guy.

Welker's signing basically guarantees only 3 TE's make the roster next season since we'll go 3 wide more often than double TE formations, and considering Dreessen and Tamme have bigger money deals and are Peyton's favorite receiving targets at the position they are safe. it will come down to Virgil Green and Thomas, best man stays. And I'd wager Green wins. he is the extra blocker for the team and showed glimpses of ability in the receiving game last season. I think Julius is done.

i don't see us carrying less than 4 TE's next year. we run too many two TE sets to have less than 4. even with Welker here Tamme will still line up at the slot position some.

Taylor stock is supposedly going up, into the late 1st round. The Broncos could trade down into the early 2nd and maybe still get him. He is listed as a guy the Broncos brought in for a private workout, so obviously he is on their radar. Hayden, the CB from Houston is making quite a buzz too supposedly and could be another one the Broncos loot at too around the same draft spots.

Green has and can play some FB, at least lined up there, so I think they could go with 4 TE's again if you count Green there as well. Thomas' chances are slim IMO of being around regardless and Kasa is another guy the Broncos reportedly are looking at him quite a bit, so there must be a reason. It doesn't guarantee they draft him, but more depth at TE is something they must be considering at least.

I think this is actually a solid draft. I think Williams will go higher than Webb, but value wise I don't think this is bad at all considering you didn't do any trades. Can't argue against a lot of your selections. Might prefer DT/WR in the fifth over Kasa. Good job, Barry.

Thanks, true, a DT and or a WR are spots the Broncos might go with instead. There will be decent prospects there too to choose from. I do think the Broncos will make at least one trade, up or down, but those are hard to predict of course. I'd rather they move down from 28 and gain say another 3rd if possible. A lot of quality CB's to be had in this draft.

That would be ideal. Last year they moved down twice and only got two fourth rounders back and ended up using one of them to move up for Hillman. Hopefully there is more of a market for us this year in trades, but with the depth of this class, I expect us to make only a little headway if we do trade down.

Yeah I don't know either. For some reason I feel they are going with defense though, but I don't know where with the first round pick.

Poor value to whom? You?

all that matters is what their value is to the team that drafts them.....
