Bubba's not too happy...

Uh-Oh

@Acaldwell17: No invite to duke to run routes and catch passes DAMN right I took it personal...#Motivation #StillGrinding.

TheReverend 04-12-2013 02:24 PM

He has to know he's fringe for a roster spot with our WR depth...

04-12-2013 02:27 PM

Somebody should have told him you have to catch 5 passes in a season to get the invite

04-12-2013 02:29 PM

As if money isn't motivation enough for him to give 100

srphoenix 04-12-2013 02:30 PM

he's still on the team?

DBroncos4life 04-12-2013 02:59 PM

I guess I'm alone being happy that a player wanted to work and upset he wasn't invited. What was the worst that could happen, Manning develops trust and timing with his 5th WR?

It also made me happy. I think it's cute when people try so hard even when we all know the ultimate result is failure.

Requiem 04-12-2013 03:02 PM

Hm. Bubba, lets take a look here.

Demaryius, Decker and Welker. 1, 2, 3.

Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreesen are going to see more targets than you. 4, 5.

Virgil Green will likely get more reps this year as well.

You are pretty much a phantom on the roster. Every receiver on our team has done more in one year than you have done in your NFL career, you goonie.

Seriously hoping the Broncos snag someone like Aaron Dobson, Markus Wheaton, etc. in the draft somewhere to make this offense even more lethal.

Get a deep threat WR, add in a power runner and draft one OL depth. Offense set.

Draft LB, DL and DB.

BOOM. Championship.

Req is on fire.

If he was really serious about it he would be setting up workouts with Oz

OR

He could contact Peyton, Wes, Eric, DT, etc at Duke and tell THEM he wants to be a part of this.

OR

I guess he could just tweet it and get some love from his Tweeps....

Yep. No one knows if he contacted(made an effort) Peyton or not. Chances are he took to twitter first.

+1

I have about as much of a chance of making the active roster this year as Andre Caldwell.

Rabb 04-12-2013 03:33 PM

What a good team mate

Well, b****ing about it publicly sort of trumps the whole "it's great you want to work hard" thing in my eyes. Now he just looks like a whiny douche.

cmhargrove 04-12-2013 03:37 PM

Maybe he should ask Mitch Unrein what it's like to catch a touchdown pass...

Sucks for Andre because he was the first FA to sign after Manning (not that Manning asked him too). But he's a nice guy.

I saw him during training camp last year and said, "hope you catch a lot of passes on our way to the Superbowl". He said, "yeah me too". Guess that didn't exactly pan out.

Maybe he didn't get the memo that Manning only throws to about 3 WR's, a TE (or two), and the RB's.

Bubba's probably going to make this team, even if they draft a WR, because he's only due to make $800K. Compare that to Matthew Willis, who is set to make $1.32M.

Caldwell see's his career flashing before his eyes, and it ain't pretty. He'll be released after this year, having nothing to show for the last 2 years.
